FPA of MA Women’s Group recently launched an informal study group for women advisors with the purpose of sharing best practices, learning from each other, gaining insights on financial planning practice topics and simply meeting other like-minded women-financial planners from the Greater Boston area.
Our next gathering will take place on Friday, September 28, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Fidelity Investments at 200 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA followed by an optional networking at a nearby restaurant. The topic is Client Onboarding Process. We ask you to come prepared to discuss best practices (challenges) your firm deploys (experiences) when onboarding new clients. The discussion will focus on the following:
1) Time period it takes to onboard a client
2) Communication methods used with a client (email, secured document exchange vault, other)
3) Information gathered (tax returns, insurance policies, account statements, other)
4) Information provided (account form, financial planning questionnaire, other)
5) Client documents
6) Marketing materials
7) Technology used during onboarding (CRM, financial planning, etc.)
8) Other
Additionally we are asking you to provide a brief profile about you, your firm and your professional background (existing bio will work). This profile will be shared with other attendees. We found that having this information available and shared with others helps create awareness and a better structured dialog.
If you are interested in attending the study group meeting please RSVP at admin@fpama.org along with your personal bio or profile information by Friday, August 4th.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Feel free to contact me if there are any questions.
Best Regards,
Inna Rivilis,
Chair of Women’s Group Committee
